She strongly believes the exiting journey of musical development goes beyond just appreciating music or playing an instrument. She hopes that all her students are able to gradually appreciate and create music in their unique ways, beyond social and cultural norms. In the process, an inclusive and inspiring learning environment, where every student feels empowered to explore, express, and evolve through music, is nurtured.
She cultivates the importance of having an own unique voice and interest in music, rather than complying with only what is believed to ‘sound best’ or what is ‘best’ in normative standards. In addition, she works together with her students through their journey of discovering each of their own musical passion and learning styles. With passion, learning wouldn’t be a structured routine, acquiring technical skills wouldn’t be that much of a chore as well!
